Hair & Make-Up:

Please come hair and make-up ready and looking the way you want to present yourself. Headshot clients have the option of bringing their own make-up artist or doing their own make-up before the shoot. If you don't have a make-up artist handy and don't want to do your own, it is highly recommend that you visit a make-up counter at your local mall or department store and have your make-up done there, before the shoot.

Make-up should look natural and non-clumpy. The best make-up looks like there is no make-up at all. A natural look will bring out the best in your headshots. Please avoid colored eye shadow and generally overdoing it. It is also recommended that you wear liquid concealer as opposed to powder, as powder can sometimes look bad on camera.

Be careful of hair products that leave residue in your hair. This may come out on camera and can be very hard to edit out. Keep it simple and look your best.

Men, only light to no make-up is recommended. Break-outs are edited out in post.

Clothing:

​

Feel free to bring a range of different options that you love for clothing. It's important to feel comfortable in whatever you're wearing.

I recommend you bring a range of different colors and necklines. If you have any doubt about whether something will work or not just bring it along. Tight patterns and stripes are a no-no. Everything from t-shirts, tank tops, sweaters and light jackets can work. Textures and layers are great and try to keep  jewelry minimal. Studs or small earrings work and simple necklaces, anything hanging or chunky will usually be too distracting in a headshot.

Scheduling and Payment:

​

Shooting days normally run Monday through Friday and usually begin at 10am. Sessions may overlap slightly so we ask people to be a bit flexible. I ask that you don't have anything else scheduled close to the end of your session in case I feel we need a little more time with you.

A non-refundable deposit of ½ the session fee is required to book a session. 

The fee is due immediately after you've chosen a shoot date and have been booked on our schedule, using the PayPal link provided on the Book a Session page. If we do not receive it by the end of the day you place your booking, the session will be granted to another client, so please get it to us as soon as you can. If you need any help with payment or do not have a PayPal account, feel free to send an e-mail and someone will be happy to assist you. The remaining balance plus any sales tax is due the day of the session.
